The Fauna Series (surface)

Each drawing in this work took 10 minutes. Each drawing consists of 10 traced contours that overlap one another to create a section. To proceed, I set a timer in one-minute intervals. I opened the first page of a magazine and drew the most interesting thing on the page for one minute. When the timer went off, I turned the page and repeated the process. As a result, parts of the images interlock. After 10 overlapping traced contour drawings were finished, I stopped and moved onto a new sheet of vellum to start a new drawing. I continued this process until I reached the back cover of the magazine.
