Riad Miah is an artist who was born in the country of Trinidad & Tobago. He grew up in the United States of America and received his formal education in the US and Belgium. His currently place of residence is New York City. Miahs work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including New York City, Chicago, Antwerp, and Budapest. Riad has been a resident at the Vermont Studio Center and Skowhegan School for Painting and Sculpture in Maine. He is the recipient of grants and fellowships from the NY Foundation for the Arts in painting and Germination Europe (Germany). As an educator he has taught at various schools and universities including, Ohio State University, Parsons The New School for Design, and the New York Arts Program. He spent one year of Post-graduate Research at Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten (Belgium) and has an M.F.A from Ohio State University and a B.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts.
